Help Center Why do I have to have an appointment?

Sunlight requires appointments only in certain situations to ensure your safety and provide the best possible care. Not all patients will need to meet with a provider before starting or adjusting their medication.

When an Appointment Is Required

During your initial medical intake, our providers review your health history and responses to determine whether a virtual appointment is necessary. Appointments are typically required if:

  • Your medical history needs further review
  • You are starting or adjusting a medication that requires closer monitoring

Virtual Appointment Process

If an appointment is needed, you will be guided to book a virtual visit after completing your intake and checkout. Virtual appointments allow our providers to review your health in real time while keeping your care convenient and safe.

Booking an Appointment

You can schedule required appointments directly through your Sunlight patient portal under the “Appointments” tab. Appointments are available daily at various times to fit your schedule.
