How the Sunlight Program Works

Sunlight provides prescription weight loss care through a simple, all-inclusive subscription.

After you sign up, a licensed provider reviews your health intake. If treatment is appropriate, a prescription is written and sent to one of our partner pharmacies. You’ll then receive ongoing care, refill reminders, and support throughout your journey.

What’s Included With Sunlight

Your Sunlight subscription covers everything you need for your program. There are no hidden fees.

Your plan includes:

  • Prescribed GLP-1 medication (if approved)
  • Injection supplies when applicable
  • Unlimited clinician visits, available seven days a week
  • Required lab work at no additional cost
  • Ongoing care and support, regardless of dosage
  • Free shipping
  • Customer support available daily, 8am–8pm EST

Your monthly payment remains the same, and you can cancel at any time.

Refills and Ongoing Treatment

Refilling your medication on time helps ensure your treatment continues without interruption.

Sunlight provides reminders and clear next steps so you know when action is required. Whether you’re continuing your current dose or preparing for a change, the refill process allows your provider to safely evaluate your progress.

Refill Timeline

For injectable medications:

  • Each shipment contains a 4-week supply
  • Refill intake typically opens after your third weekly injection
  • Completing the refill intake allows your provider to review your response and approve the next prescription

Delays in completing your refill intake may result in a delay in shipping your next order.

How to Refill Your Medication

To receive your next shipment, a refill intake must be completed.

Step 1: Log in to the Sunlight Portal

Sign in to your Sunlight portal using the email you registered with.

Step 2: Complete the Refill Form

Navigate to the Refills section and complete the refill intake form. No prescription will be shipped without a completed form.

Step 3: Watch for Notifications

Sunlight will send email and text reminders when it’s time to complete your refill.

If you’re unsure whether your refill is due, contact support, and we’ll help confirm timing.

Billing

Sunlight subscriptions are designed to keep your care active without requiring manual payments or long-term commitments.

How Billing Works

Month-to-Month Membership

All Sunlight plans are month-to-month with no long-term contracts.

Automatic Billing

Billing occurs automatically every 28 days, ensuring uninterrupted access to care and support.

Billing vs. Shipping

Billing is independent of shipping. You may see a charge before your next shipment arrives. This is normal and helps keep your treatment active.

Billing Flexibility

We understand that shipping schedules or delayed medication starts can affect billing timing.

If needed, Sunlight can:

  • Adjust your billing date to better align with your treatment schedule
  • Assist with delays affecting shipment timing
  • Review refund eligibility in limited cases based on prescription status

Cancellations and Refunds

No Long-Term Contracts

Sunlight plans are month-to-month. You may cancel at any time.

How to Cancel

You can cancel your Sunlight subscription anytime. Call our patient care team at 1-877-378-7008, 8 AM to 8 PM ET, 7 days a week, and a Sunlight specialist will help you with your request. You can also send a message requesting cancellation through your patient portal. Either way, our care team will follow up to confirm.

For monthly plan patients, your medication will continue to be delivered through the end of your current billing cycle. For multi-month plan patients, your remaining prescription shipments will continue as scheduled through the end of your plan length.

Cancellations are subject to an $80 clinical fee. This fee applies when cancellation is requested after a clinician has reviewed your intake quiz, treatment history, or check-in form. If a clinician determines that the medication is not a suitable option for you, no fee will be charged.

Refund Policy

Refund eligibility depends on whether your prescription has been processed.

Refunds are available if:

  • You cancel before a prescription is written and sent to the pharmacy
  • A Sunlight provider determines you are not eligible for treatment

Refunds are not available once:

  • A licensed provider has issued a prescription
  • The pharmacy has processed the medication order

This follows federal regulations for prescription medications.

Continuing a Previous Prescription Dosage

If you were previously prescribed GLP-1 medication by another provider, our clinicians may review your prior dosage.

Updated lab results through one of our lab partners are required before continuing treatment. Approval of the same dosage is not guaranteed and depends on clinical evaluation.

Submitting Prior Prescription Information

If requesting continuation of a previous dosage, documentation must include:

  • Medication name
  • Dose and frequency
  • Your full name and date of birth
  • Date the prescription was written or filled
  • Date of your most recent injection

Upload documents in the Documents section of your Sunlight portal or email them to support.

Clinician Access and Appointments

Your Sunlight plan includes unlimited access to licensed clinicians.

When Appointments Are Required

Appointments may be needed if:

  • Your medical history requires further review
  • You are starting or adjusting a dosage
  • A provider needs to discuss results or side effects in real time

Your clinician prescribes a starting dose and adjusts gradually based on your response. Always follow dosing instructions and consult a provider with concerns.

Scheduling Appointments

Appointments are virtual and available daily. You can schedule them through your Sunlight portal or by contacting support.

Labs and Testing

Lab testing ensures your medication remains safe and effective.

Lab Tests Explained

Common labs include:

  • A1C – blood sugar levels
  • TSH – thyroid function
  • CMP – metabolic health markers
  • Lipid Panel – cholesterol and heart health

You’ll receive lab orders by email.

Previous Lab Results

Lab results completed within the last 24 months are acceptable for use.

Upload results in the Documents section of your Sunlight portal for review.

Your Lab Appointment

To ensure accurate results:

  • Fast for 12 hours
  • Drink water only
  • Bring your lab order and photo ID

Medication Delivery and Shipping

Shipping Timeline

  • Most prescriptions are reviewed within 24 hours
  • Medications typically arrive within 3 to 5 business days

Tracking

Tracking information is emailed once your medication ships.

Safe Delivery Standards

Partner pharmacies utilize temperature-controlled packaging and cold packs as needed to maintain medication quality during transit.

Using the Sunlight Portal

Your Sunlight portal allows you to:

  • Complete refill forms
  • Upload lab results and documents
  • Manage subscriptions
  • Schedule appointments
  • Track medication shipments

Updating Payment or Shipping Information

  • Payment updates can be made in your portal and apply to future orders
  • Shipping address changes must be requested through support and apply to future shipments only
