Help Center How much medication do I draw?

Your prescribed dose, drawn in units on the insulin syringe in your kit. Your vial holds 4 to 8 weekly doses of compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide. Never inject the entire vial.

The conversion from your prescribed dose (in mg) to units on the syringe is on the dose card included with your kit. Use it before every injection.

To find your dose:

  • Patient portal: look up your prescription and read the dose line. Do not inject the entire vial.
  • Vial label: confirm the medication name and concentration. The concentration listed on the label is not your dose. It tells you how strong the liquid is.

To convert and draw:

  • Use the dose card to find the unit count for your prescribed dose. Sunlight ships the card with every prescription.
  • Draw to the line at the top of the plunger, not the tip. Hold the syringe at eye level.
  • Push extra back into the vial if you drew past your dose. Do not inject extra to “use it up.”

If your concentration or dose is different from the dose card you have, stop and message the Sunlight care team before injecting. Do not guess at the conversion.
